James (Jim/Jimmy) Temberg, of Hesperia, MI, passed away on September 09, 2026 at age 71. Born on November 23, 1954 to Mary (Flood) and Einar Temberg and raised in Whitehall; Jimmy spent a long career as a stone mason in the West Michigan area.

Jimmy loved Michigan and often said there was no better place to live. Happily settled amongst the trees in Hesperia, where he raised his family and found community, he was a devoted father of three daughters, whom he was incredibly proud of. Jimmy loved the outdoors and showing his buddies up on the golf course. You could often find him kicked back on his porch in the sunshine, enjoying his view… or taking a nap after a long round on the course.

He was a man of integrity unmatched by many, with an unwavering loyalty to those he loved. And ya know, he had two motto’s he lived everyday by; Be true to your friends, they mean everything. And, Always do your best, even if no one is watching. If you knew him, you know how well those statements actually sum up the person he was and understand how loved he was.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Helman) Temberg, with whom he shared over 30 years; his daughters, Brieanne (Kirk) Landefeld, and their children Dane and Elsi, Aurora Temberg, and Whitney (Troy) Kurtz, and their children Travis and Ali; and his step-son, Scott (Miquel) Keur, and their son Sebastain (Kiersten) Keur and grandchild, Alexander; as well as his brother, Tim (Kate) Temberg, and their children.

Jim is preceded in death by his father, Einar Temberg, his mother, Mary (Flood) Olson and his brother, Patrick Temberg.

He will be immensely missed.
