Obituary

James F. Macomber, age 45 of White Cloud, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 22, 2001 at his home. He was born on November 17, 1955 in Fremont to Frank E. and Esther A. (MacDonald) Macomber and has been a lifelong resident of White Cloud. He was a 1974 graduate of White Cloud High School and had worked at the Briggs Lumber Company in White Cloud for the past 20 years where he was a sawyer and maintenance technician. He was also active in tractor pulling and was a member of the Empty Pockets Tractor Pullers Club. He also served in the United States Army, 10th Combat Engineer Battalion. He is survived by a special friend, Kelley Bidelman of White Cloud; his children, Nathan Macomber of White Cloud; Jessica Macomber of White Cloud; Kattie Bidelman of White Cloud; Alan Thompson of White Cloud; his mother, Esther Macomber of White Cloud; his sister, Denise (Jim) Barkhuff of White Cloud; his nieces, Mellissa Macomber of White Cloud; Dana Macomber of Texas; nephews, Franklin Macomber of White Cloud; Ryan Macomber of White Cloud; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Macomber in 1997 and a brother, William Macomber in 1980. Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 26, 2001 from the Crandell Funeral Home in White Cloud with funeral celebrant Curt Crandell presiding with interment in the Big Prairie Township Cemetery.
