Obituary

Parks, Rev. James L. Rev. James L. Parks, age 38 of Bitely, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at his home following a short illness. Rev. James was born on November 25, 1967 in South Haven, Michigan to Jerry Wayne and Annette (Pion) Parks and later met and married Wanda Lee Trussell on April 18, 1998 in Bitely. Rev. James attended Grace Community Bible College where he received his Bachelors of Religious Education degree and was due to graduate from Baker College in December with his teaching degree. Rev. James started his ministry career at the Volney Bible Church and later moved to the Grace Community Bible Church in Cadillac where he has been the pastor at the church for the past 6 years. James enjoyed reading and movies. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Lee Parks of Bitely; his mother and stepfather, Annette (Ben) McLellan of South Haven; his grandmother, Betty King of South Haven; his sisters and brothers, Vicki (John) Hudson of Paw Paw; David (Rhonda) Hammond of Everett, Michigan; Timothy (Joan) Hammond of Hartford, Michigan; Robert (Theresa) Hammond of South Haven; Richard (Linda) Hammond of South Haven; Dennis (Deborah) Hammond of Lawton, Michigan; Alan (Shirley) Talbert of Scottville, Michigan; several nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Maxine Trussell of Walkerville; his brother-in-law, William (Tammy) Trussell Jr. of Walkerville. Rev. James was preceded in death by his father, Harold Hammond and by his father-in-law, William Trussell Sr. Funeral memorial services were held on Friday, June 30, 2006 from the Grace Community Bible Church in Cadillac with Mr. John Spooner, Director of Campus Ministries at Grace Community Bible College presiding and Mr. Paul Zunker delivering the eulogy for Rev.
