James Russell Russ Strait, age 77 of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at his home. Russ was born on July 11, 1935 to Earl and Eva Mae Strait and moved to the Fremont area as a young boy. Russ married Marian Hagen on June 10, 1978 in Fremont and had worked at Deur Chevrolet in Fremont for 36 years until his retirement as parts manager. Russ had enjoyed deer hunting, antique collecting, and gardening. Russ was also spent much time golfing at Village Green Golf Course in Fremont. Russ was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church. Russ is survived by his wife, Marian of Fremont; his sister-in-law, Bev Strait of Grand Rapids; several nieces and nephews. Russ was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Strait.
