James Arthur Scott, age 88, of Muskegon, was received into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 18, 2013. James was born on January 10, 1925 in Waterloo, Alabama to Charlie and Fammie Elizabeth (Smith) Scott and retired from CWC Textron in 1976. After retirement, he operated a successful hog farm with his wife and son, until 1993. James was an avid fisherman and a skilled wood worker. James is survived by his three children, Arther (Beverly) Scott of Lansing, Michigan; Shirley (Tom) Roe of Pipersville, Pennsylvania; Leon (Brenda) Scott of Fremont, Michigan; 8 Grandchildren, Tara Scott; Margaret Kirkpatrick; Lynn Scott; Leah (Paul) Cotton; Sarah Scott; Alyssa Scott; Peter Roe; Kelsey Roe; 3 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson; his brothers, Willie J. (Emma Lee) Scott of Benton Harbor, Michigan; Charles Dudley Scott of Franklin, Tennessee with many nieces and nephews as well as his first wife Wyoma Lee Newnum of Allegan, Michigan. James was preceded in death by his brother, Bedford Earl Scott and his former wife, Karen (Burns) Scott.
