Smith Jr., James H James H. Smith Jr., age 41 of Muskegon, formerly of Holton, passed away Friday, January 19, 2007 at his home. Jim was born on February 4, 1965 in Fremont to James and Judith (Drum) Smith and has been a lifelong resident of the area. Jim graduated from Holton High School in 1983 and soon started work as a striker at the Sun Chemical Company in Muskegon. Jim enjoyed music, motorcycles, especially Harley Davidson, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his son, Brett Smith of Muskegon; his daughter, Nichole Smith of Muskegon; his grandson, Jayden James Lee; his parents, James & Judy Smith of Whitehall; paternal grandmother, Edith Smith of Holton; brother, Scott (Darlene) Smith of Roscommon; sister, Stacey (Larry) McCleary of Twin Lake; nieces, Megan & Kacey McCleary; nephews, Trevor McCleary and Logan Smith; several aunts, uncles, & cousins. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with Pastor David Gruber of the Cornerstone Free Methodist Church presiding.
