Sutcliffe, James Arnold James Arnold Sutcliffe, age 68 of White Cloud, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2006 at his home. Jim was born on November 3, 1937 in Muskegon to Joseph and Mildred (Ebert) Sutcliffe and married Amelia Christensen on November 27, 1959 in Muskegon. Jim has been a longtime resident of the White Cloud area where he had been active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, was a former member of the Masonic Order, and enjoyed fishing. Jim graduated from the Purdue University with a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering and worked as an electrical engineer for the United States Navy where he retired as Lieutenant Commander after 22 years of service of which he served active duty during the Vietnam Era. He also retired from Napp Industries in San Marcus, California where he worked after his military career. Jim was a good man who loved his family and always had a smile and joke ready for his friends and strangers alike. He was a kind, caring and generous man. He is now free from the prison of his body and now flys free. He is survived by his wife, Amelia of White Cloud; his children, James (Kristin) Sutcliffe II of Washington State; Christine (Luke) McKeown of White Cloud; Amy (Robert) Pierce of White Cloud; 6 grandchildren, Rodney McKeown, Chad McKeown, Joseph Sutcliffe, Erin Sutcliffe, Amanda Davis Sutcliffe, Ian Pierce; his sister, Jeanne Pavlin-Nelson of White Cloud; his brother, Joseph W. (Donna) Sutcliffe of Venice, Florida. Following his wishes, Jims remains were donated to the University of Michigan and the University of Maryland for medical research and study.
