Jan (Prahl) Tingley passed away on December 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, and deep compassion. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Tingley; her mother, Sally Prahl (VanTol); her father, Edward Prahl, and his wife Isadora Prahl; and her sister-in-law, Sharon Sweers.

Jan is survived by her devoted sisters Sheri Bignal, Cassandra Rolfe, Jennifer Edwards (Larry), and Audra Prahl; her brother Jason Prahl (Andrea); and her brother-in-law Bruce Sweers. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews who adored her, as well as her faithful dog, Jax, her constant companion.

Jan found joy in life's simple and beautiful moments. She loved being outdoors—whether camping under the stars, spending quiet days at the beach, or simply feeling the warmth of the sun. Music was another of her lifelong comforts, filling her days with rhythm and meaning. But above all, Jan's greatest joy was loving others. She had a rare gift for making those around her feel seen, valued, and cared for, and her kindness touched countless lives.

Her spirit, gentle heart, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation will be held for family and friends on December 6, 2025, at Crandell Funeral Home, 7193 W 48th St, Fremont, MI 49412, from 1–3 p.m.
