Janet A. Keehl, age 80 of Fremont, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Janet was born on November 2, 1938 in Grant to John Elmer and Jennie (Sneider) Wells and graduated from White Cloud High School in 1957. Janet married Paul F. Keehl on October 10, 1958 in Grant and has been a lifelong resident of the Fremont area. Janet started working at the Gerber Federal Credit Union in Fremont where she had been a loan officer until her retirement after 41 years. After her retirement, she served on the Board of Directors of the Gerber Federal Credit Union for a period of time. In her younger years, Janet enjoyed 4-H, always enjoyed reading, sewing, baking, and making homemade cards but the most important aspect of her life was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Janet is survived by her husband of 60 years, Paul of Fremont; her daughters, Jane Ann (Dave) Wright of Laingsburg, Michigan; Sandra (Curt) Crandell of Fremont; Karla (Vernon) Oard of Grand Rapids; Rita (Todd) Noordyk of Marquette, Michigan; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; her brothers and sister, John (Mary) Wells of Fremont; Joyce (Larry) Patrick of Big Rapids; Jay (Ruth) Wells of White Cloud; sisters-in-laws and brother-in-law, Martha Tyler of Montague; Bill (Judy) VanAndel of White Cloud; Mary (Ben Sikkink) VanAndel of Holland; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
