Jay Ivan Grove, age 76, of Fremont passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at Mercy Health Partners – Sherman Campus in Muskegon. Jay was born on February 22, 1943, in Fremont to Orville Emmanuel and Martha Cleo (Johnson) Grove married Diane L. Dunning on June 25, 2005, in Fremont. Jay sold farm equipment for many years, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and collecting Oliver Tractors. Jay served in the United States Army, was active in the Flat River Antique Tractor Club, and was a member of the Fremont Christian Church – Disciples of Christ. Jay is survived by his children, Kyle Jay (Tammy) Grove of Holton and Chad Michael (Kristine) Grove of Twin Lake; step-children, Kurt Alan Luchies of Fremont, Kristin Marie (John) Krim of Fremont, Keith Ward Luchies of Shelby, and Donna (Miguel) Luchies Melo; grandchildren, Amber Sparks, Cody Luchies, Dalton Luchies, MacKenzie (Tyler) Silvernail, Tyler Krim, Dylan Krim, Karly Krim, Riley Krim, Andrew Luchies, Lexie Luchies, Hanna Melo, Bree Fields, Melanie Fields, and Karl Jordan; great-grandchildren, Ariyana Silvernail, Declan Silvernail, and Hudson Krim; and sister, Debrah "Debby" Ronzio of St. Louis, Missouri. A Celebration of Life for Jay will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, January 23, 2020, at the Fremont Christian Church – Disciples of Christ with Rev. David Dickinson officiating. There will be a time of visitation at the Church to greet the family prior to the service starting at 12 noon. Memorial contributions may be given to the DaVita Newaygo County Dialysis.
