Jayne Lee Baughan, age 62 of Baldwin, formerly of Byron Center, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at her home. Jayne was born on July 2, 1958 in Fremont to Almer and Shirley (Delong) Maat and graduated from Fremont High School in 1976. Jayne later married Greg Baughan on May 11, 1984 in Grand Rapids and Greg preceded her in death on September 1, 2004. Jayne had just retired from the work force and enjoyed gardening, feeding and watching the birds, and working jigsaw puzzles. Jayne is survived by her sons, Jason Frantz of Baldwin; Derek (significant other, Jessica) Frantz of Bitely; Christopher (Stacey) Baughan of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Jehara Frantz and LyllieAnn Baughan; her mother, Shirley Maat of Fremont; sisters and brothers, Laurel Maat of Grand Rapids; Mary (Jeff) Hale of Austin, Texas; Jim (Annette) Maat of Big Rapids; Karl Maat of Austin, Texas; niece and nephews - Andy (Alyssa) Maat, Steve Maat, Robby Hale, Megan Maat; her aunt, Maxine Annis of Hesperia;. Jayne was preceded in death by her husband, Greg on September 1, 2004; her father, Almer Maat on January 26, 2012 and her brother Everett Maat on December 4, 2016.
