Jean Marie Burkholder, age 65 of White Cloud, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the Trinity Health Mercy Campus following complications from surgery. Jean was born on January 8, 1958 in Fremont to Sylvester Milton and Clara B. (Kuhns) Fredenburg and graduated from Whitehall High School. Jean later met and married John Burkholder on May 10, 1986 at the White Cloud Mennonite Church and has been resident of the White Cloud area since. Jean had provided child day care at her home for several years and enjoyed visiting with family and friends playing games. She was a member of the White Cloud Mennonite Church where she was a member of the Sewing Circle. Jean is survived by her husband, John of White Cloud; her children, Kenny Burkholder; Berline Burkholder and her daughter, ShiLove; her sisters and brothers, Mae Taylor; Larry Fredenburg; Susan (Dave) Sill; Allen (Margo) Fredenburg; sister-in-law, Sandy Fredenburg and Cathy Fredenburg; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Clara; her brothers, Edward, Steven, David, John Fredenburg; sister-in-law, Michelle Fredenburg; brother-in-law, Jerry Harding and Larry Taylor. VISITATION : Friday, September 15, 2023 from 5-7 pm at the White Cloud Mennonite Church 810 S. Walnut White Cloud Michigan 49349 and Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 10-10:45 am at the church. FUNERAL SERVICES: Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the White Cloud Mennonite Church. INTERMENT : Amish Cemetery in White Cloud.
