Jean E. Geeting, age 89 of Fremont, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Jean was born on March 25, 1924 in Muskegon to Glenn and Phyllis (Dickerson) Shaw and later married Harold E. Geeting on October 31, 1942 in Fremont. Harold preceded her in death on June 8, 1998. Jean has been a longtime resident of Fremont where she had been a waitress in her younger years, worked at Gerber Products in the direct mail department and later enjoyed being a homemaker. Jean had enjoyed bowling, playing cribbage with Harold and crossword puzzles. Jean is survived by her sons, Robert (Joyce) Geeting of Fremont; Brad (Sharie) Geeting of Fremont; 7 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; her sister, Geraldine Shanahan of Fremont; several nieces and nephews. Jean was precede in death by her sisters, Virginia Peets, Elaine Smith and Shirley Wilson. VISITATION: Friday, September 20, 2013 from 12-2pm at Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel.
