Morton, Jean Jean Morton, age 67 of Fremont , passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 9, 2003 at her home. She was born on June 7, 1936 in Fremont to Jacob T. and Nellie (DeWitt) Schornagel and has been a lifelong resident of the Fremont area. She had been an in-home nurse for several years and enjoyed flea markets and garage sales. She is survived by her loving companion, Max Nadeau of Fremont; her mother, Nellie Schornagel of Fremont; her children, Eva Dunbar and fianc, Don White of Fremont; Su (Bob) Bowman of Hartford, Wisconsin; Chris (Sandy Thomas) Morton of Wyoming, Michigan; her grandchildren, Jason Dunbar, Jennifer Dunbar, Meryl Zoscsak, Rob Zoscsak; step grandchildren, Shiann Bowman, Donald White, Bryan White; great grandson, Jaden Dunbar; sister, Anna (Milton) Dakin of White Cloud; brothers, Henry James Schornagel of Woodbridge, Virginia; Kurt A. (Judy Buttleman) Schornagel of White Cloud; Karl W. (Mary Lou) Schornagel of Woodbridge, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her father, Jacob Schornagel on August 6, 1995 and her brother, Jacob Richard Schornagel on August 7, 1991. Funeral services were held on Friday, June 13, 2003 at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with Rev. John Moser of the Newaygo County Chaplaincy Service presiding and interment in Maple Grove Cemetery.
