Jeanette (Jean) Anderson, age 92, of Fremont passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2002, at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. She was born on October 4, 1909, in Fremont to David and Minnie (VanGoor) Wyngarden and married Carl Anderson on June 19, 1931, in Fremont. She was a fruit farmer, taught school near Grant in her early years, worked at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility for 6 years, and was a volunteer at the Facility for 26 years. She was a life-long resident of Fremont and a member of the Fremont United Methodist Church. Jean is survived by her son Donald (Kathy) Anderson of Grand Rapids; son-in-law Whitney (Diane) Walcott; 3 grandchildren, Todd, Marc, and Kristen; sisters, Ella (James) Leutscher of Muskegon, Margaret (Henry) Poll of Grand Rapids, and Helen (Jim) Haveman of Fremont; sister-in-law JoAnn Wyngarden; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl in 1982; daughter Carole; brothers Ray & Willis; and sister-in-law Arlene Wyngarden. Funeral services were held at the Fremont United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Duncan & Rev. Bert Vermeulen officiating. Interment is in Clark Cemetery.
