Jeanne L. Corbett, age 79 of White Cloud, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Jeanne was born on July 25, 1936 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to George W. and Gladys M. (Bray) LaPonsie and later married Thomas Corbett on May 7, 1970 in Chicago. Thomas preceded her in death on September 12, 2004. Jeanne has been a resident of the White Cloud area since 1990 when she moved from Sparta and had been a production worker for several years until her retirement. Jeanne had also been the singer in a band with Tom where they had engagements on many weekends. She was a member of the White Cloud Eagles Auxiliary, enjoyed gaming, playing bingo, watching and feeding the birds, her vegetable garden and was an avid Red Wings and hockey fan. Jeanne is survived by her children; Dawn (Frank) Preston of Sparta; Teri (Mike Goldston) Ringler of White Cloud; Toni (Joseph) Stoner of White Cloud; Thomas W. Corbett II of Kalamazoo; 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; her brothers, George (Joan) LaPonsie of Oakland, California; Oscar (Cookie) LaPonsie of White Cloud; many nieces and nephews. Jeanne was preceded in death by her children, Dennis S. Corbett; Georgann Corbett; Debra Ann Rapheal; grandson, Kenneth Rapheal; sister, Barbara Magoon; brother, Harold LaPonsie.
