Jeannette Virginia Wolbrink, age 83, of Newaygo passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning April 8, 2001, at Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. She was born on July 4, 1917, in Newaygo to Frank Anderson and Lillian Anderson and married Gordon Wolbrink on August 1, 1946. She was a graduate of Newaygo High School and received her B.S. Degree in elementary education at Western Michigan University. She taught school in the country schools, White Cloud Public Schools, and retired in 1974 from the Newaygo Public Schools. She was a faithful member of the Newaygo United Church of Christ. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Jibson of Fremont; niece, Sharon Hawes of Holton; nephew, William (Donna) Jibson of Newaygo; great nieces and nephews, Fritz (Vicki) Hawes and children Levi and Adam, Melissa (Joe) Sovinski and daughter Mary Margaret, Kristin (Randy) March and children Derek and Kendra, Nicholas (Alsha) Jibson; Cousin Michael (Kay) Wallace. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at the Newaygo United Church of Christ with Chaplain Judy Corey and Rev. David Wygmans officiating. The interment was in Newaygo Cemetery.
