Jefferey C. Ford, age 54 of Amarillo, Texas, formerly of White Cloud, Michigan, passed from this life into the arms of the Lord on Sunday at the BSA Hospice Center in Amarillo following a short illness. Jefferey was born on June 5, 1957 in Fremont to Maynard and Aileen (Thatcher) Ford and graduated from White Cloud High School in 1975 and later married Judy Taylor on Sept. 21, 2008 in Kent City. Jeff had been a dispatch supervisor with Affiliated Foods in Amarillo for 20 years and remained a true sports fan of the Detroit Tigers, Red Wings and Lions while living in Amarillo. Jeff was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and also enjoyed spending time with his family back in Michigan whenever he had the chance. Jeff had also served in the United States Air Force. SURVIVORS : his wife, Judy of Amarillo, TX; his daughter Stephanie (Ryan) Gerber of Amarillo, TX; his granddaughters, Riley and Kendall; sisters, Pat (Earl) Babcock of Kent City; Donna (Ralph) Hayes of Kentwood; brother-in-law, Jim Dougan of Comstock Park; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his sister, Carol Dougan and his brother, Jim Peck. VISITATION : Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 from 11:30-1pm at the White Cloud United Methodist Church.
