Cook, Jeffrey W. Jeffrey Wayne Cook, age 41 of White Cloud, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2005 at his home. Jeff was born on November 2, 1963 in Grant, Michigan to Roland and Jodey (Mathews) Cook. His father, Roland preceded him in death in 1968. Jeff graduated from White Cloud High School in 1982 and joined the United States Coast Guard in May 1993 where he served 4 years stationed on the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Sundew on Lake Superior. Jeff later became a tile setter in commercial construction until an injury forced him to stop in 1995. He was currently working as a mail courier for the Newaygo County Regional School District. He is survived by his parents, Jodey and Frank Burns of White Cloud; his children, Sheryl Jean Cook; twin sons, Shane and Sean Herrick; his sisters, Suzanne Cook of White Cloud; Lorayne Wisner of White Cloud; his brothers, Steven Cook of White Cloud; Gregory (Pam) Cook of White Cloud; several aunts and uncles; several nieces and nephews; step brothers, Joe & Carrie of Stanton; John on Arkansas; Terry of Grand Rapids; Raymond of Grand Rapids; step sisters, Judy of Grand Rapids; Debbie of Grand Rapids; Lynn of Grand Rapids; Connie of Ionia; Becky of Vestaburg; Jennifer of Greenville. He was preceded in death by his father, Roland Cook in 1968. Funeral services were held on Monday, February 14, 2005 from the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with Rev. Foster Brummel presiding with interment in the Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery. Military rites were given under the auspices of the Newaygo V.F.W. Sportsmans Post #4249.
