It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeffrey William Cowles, who departed this life on December 29, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on November 21, 1954, in Saginaw, Michigan, Jeffrey was the cherished son of Lucille Cowles and the late Harold Cowles. He is survived by his devoted mother, Lucille Cowles.

As a healthcare assistant, Jeffrey devoted many years of his career to Mercy Health Muskegon, where he was known for his kindness and unwavering commitment to his patients. His caring spirit left a lasting impact on all those he served. Jeffrey's life was filled with the joys of family, nature, laughter, and creativity. An avid outdoorsman, he found happiness in hunting, fishing, camping, and enjoying warm bonfires with family and friends. He had a talent for woodworking and loved to shoot pool, sharing these passions with those around him.

Jeffrey is survived by his children: Rachel Nelson, Bill (Karen) Cowles, Karolyn (Justin) Murphy, and Alen (Staci) Cowles, his grandchildren; Cody, Shelby, Ella, Troy, Abby, Izzie, Sophie, and Lily. He is also survived by his siblings, Julie (Harold) Carr and Mike Cowles, along with many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his father, Harold Cowles, and the mother of his children, Karen Cowles.
