Jeffrey Alden Johnson, age 33, of Fremont passed away at home on Thursday, April 20, 2017. Jeff was born on November, 27, 1983, in Grand Rapids to Steve A. and Karla Rae (Stehouwer) Johnson. Jeff was a barber in Fremont and Newaygo for many years and owned J. Alden Store for Men. Jeff will be remembered for his wit and sense of humor, love of good food, sense of style, and being a renaissance man.

Jeffrey is survived by his loving parents, Steve and Karla of Fremont; brothers, Andrew "Drew" Henry Johnson (fiancée Chris Emmer) of Fremont and Jason Chandler Johnson of Wyoming; grandmothers, Maxine Johnson and Thelma Vande Hoef (Marv Van Emst); many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and special friend, Georgia Paxton.

A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at the First Congregational Church in Fremont with Rev. Ray Dekker officiating. There will be a time of visitation at the Church from 2 - 3 PM prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church- Memorial Garden Fund in Fremont or Hospice of Michigan. Friends may share memories and condolences online at crandellfh.com.
