Jennie Wabeke Curtice, age 94, of Fremont, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2000 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. She was born on April 17, 1906 in Holland, Michigan to John and Christine (Marlink) Wabeke and had been a nurse at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont for many years until her retirement in 1968. She has been a lifelong resident of the Fremont Area and was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church in Fremont. She is survived by her children, Milo (Jean) Curtice of Winter Springs, Florida; John (Doris) Curtice of Sun City Center, Florida; Jean (Fred) Burch of Redondo Beach, California; Chester (Gail) Curtice of Los Angeles, California; Don (Joan) Curtice of Fremont; Donna Fuller of Fremont; Charles (Wally) Curtice of Laguna Nigel, California; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 1 brother, Chester Wabeke of Arizona. She was preceded in death by 1 sister, Norie Otting. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 26, 2000 from the Crandell Funeral Home Chapel (new location, 7193 W 48th Street) in Fremont with Pastor Don Williams presiding with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
