Jerry A. Bidelman, Sr., age 77 of White Cloud, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 6, 2020 at his home. Jerry was born on July 16, 1942 in Ludington and moved to the White Cloud area at an early age. Jerry has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area and met and later married Sandra Haynes on September 23, 1961 in Everett Township. Jerry served in the United States Army National Guard. Jerry had worked at the Briggs Lumber Company in White Cloud as a truck driver for many years until his retirement. Jerry however was not ready to retire yet and he operated a greenhouse for several years and also owned and operated the Seney Claus Hot Dog Stand on the snowmobile trails in the Upper Peninsula to benefit Special Olympics during the winter months for 14 years until he closed the stand. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in the woods, playing cards, gaming and visiting with family and friends and most recently enjoyed his time participating in activities at the Newaygo County Commission on Aging in White Cloud. Jerry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandra of White Cloud; his sons, Jerry Bidelman Jr. of White Cloud; Emmet Bidelman of White Cloud; grandchildren and great grandchildren – Kathryn "Kaittye" (Chuck) Oberski and their children, Koltyn, Collin, and Klaysen of St. Louis, Michigan; Jason Bidelman of White Cloud; Jessica (Eko) Schoonmaker and their daughter, Mayci of Howard City; his sister, Ruby Wolever of White Cloud; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his great grandson, Jaxyn Webbley; his brother, Ralph Bidelman and his sister, Ruth Cook. Due to the current corona virus issues, private graveside services were held at the Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery in White Cloud. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Newaygo County Commission on Aging for the daily meals program in memory of Jerry.
