Jimmie Junior Hall, age 83 of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, Illinois. Jimmie was born on April 14, 1930 in Dowagiac, Michigan to James Edward and Lillie (Gallimore) Hall and later married Mary Kay Scott on July 15, 1950 in Bailey. Jimmie has been a lifelong resident of the Newaygo County area where he lived in the Bailey area prior to 1977 and then moved to Fremont. Jimmie had worked at Shaw Walker then owned and operated Vintage Foods in Bailey for several years before his retirement from Irwin Seating in 1995. Jimmie was a member of the Church of the Living Christ in Fremont and had been a longtime volunteer at Bethany Christian Services. He enjoyed woodworking and crafting many items for his family and friends through the years and in his later years, enjoyed reading. Jimmie was best known to his family and friends for his servants heart in helping others however. Jimmie is survived by his wife of 63 years, Kay of Fremont; his children Lee (Susan) Hall of Forsyth, Illinois; Sandy (Ted) Haveman of Fremont; Paula (Simon) Hernandez of Santa Rosa, California; Marilyn Hall of Phoenix, Arizona; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; his sisters, Natalie Thompson of Grant; Beverly Bonter of Grant; several sisters in laws, brother-in-law; cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Jimmie was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold, Robert, Douglas, Warren. VISITATION : Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 6-8pm at the Church of the Living Christ 605 Hemlock Street in Fremont. MEMORIAL SERVICES : 11 AM, Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Church of the Living Christ in Fremont. INTERMENT : Shippy Cemetery near Grant. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Bethany Christian Services.
