John Martinez Andrade, of Muskegon, MI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the age of 91. Born in Marlin Texas to Richard and Narcissa Andrade on March 30,1933. He was the youngest of their ten children. He lived a long full life; he was very generous to his friends and family. John married Alicia Hernandez December 9, 1967 in Hart, Michigan. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, shooting pool and watching wrestling. He definitely loved to entertain and was considered a true OG to many. In his later years he became "PAPI" to all who knew him. He loved telling jokes and scaring people, particularly with his accomplice Jeremy Anthony, his grandchild. He was quite a prankster. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and buying them candy.

John was a man of many talents and passions. With a green thumb, he enjoyed spending hours in his garden, nurturing plants with expert care. His love for the outdoors also led him to many peaceful days of fishing. John was equally adept at shooting pool, a skill he fondly shared and taught to his children and grandchildren, often showing them how to "hustle" a game or two.

John is survived by his children, Rudy Galvan Andrade, John Galvan (Brenda)  Andrade, Maria (Neal) Tedford, Adelina "Nina" (John) Anthony, Joe Luis Andrade (Alicia Gonzalez and family), John Dean (Rheannon) Andrade; a legacy of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Alicia; and his sons, Edward "Beaver" Galvan Andrade and Rogelio Hernandez Andrade.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate John's life will be held at the Christian Life Center at 539 East Pine Street, Fremont, MI 49412 on Sunday, October 6th, 2024 at 4:00 PM. Arrangement by Crandell Funeral Homes 231-924-0800.
