John A. Broton Jr., age 93, of Hesperia passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2023, at his home. John was born on July 26, 1930, in Sullivan, Michigan to John A. and Olga (Hostad) Broton Sr. and married Donna Marie Paprocki on June 5, 1954, in Muskegon. John had worked for Brunswick Corperation in Muskegon, proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, and was an avid reader, outdoorsman, fisherman and hunter. John is survived by his children, Mike (Cheryl) Broton of Pennsylvania, Pat (Cindy) Broton of Hesperia, Ilene (Joe) Kruzel of North Muskegon, Mary (Bill) Parks of Hesperia, and Daniel Broton of Petoskey; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna, in 2016; sister, Flora Mae Moore; and brother Robert Broton. Military Honors will be presented in the Spring honoring John's service.
