John Lewis Charnes II, age 42, of Newaygo, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013. John was born on October 26, 1970, in Lansing, to John Lewis Charnes and Marquita Sue (Cordle) Bazany and married Michaela G. Austin on February 6, 2009, in White Cloud. John loved the outdoors and spending time with his family. John is survived by his loving wife Michaela; son, Connor Charnes; step-children, Nathan and Samantha Austin; brother, Joshua Charnes; mother, Marquita (Charles) Bazany; father, John (Estella) Charnes; nephew, Mason Charnes; grandparents, Beulah and Ben Grantham; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Tom Cordle and Frank and Josephine Charnes. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont with Pastor David Dickinson officiating.
