Delia Sr., John A. John A. Delia, Sr., age 65 of Hesperia, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2006 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. John was born on August 31, 1941 in Hesperia to Pasquale and Antoinette (Amato) Delia and later married Karen S. Johnson on February 8, 1964 in Fremont. John has been a lifelong resident of the area where he enjoyed farming and hunting. He had been a fork lift driver at the Campbell Wyant Canon Company in Muskegon for 30 years until his retirement and was associated with the All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Karen of Hesperia; his sons, Kelly (Laura) Delia of Hesperia; John Delia Jr. of Hesperia; Mark Delia of Newaygo; Wayne Delia of Hesperia; 3 grandchildren, Joshua, Cody, and Cory; brothers, Don (Gloria) Delia of Newaygo; Frank Delia of Hesperia; his sisters, Mary Martin of Hesperia; Rose (Bob) White of Holton; sister-in-laws, Nancy Delia of Fremont; Sarah Delia of Hesperia; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pasquale Delia and Antoinette (Delia) Cordts; his brothers, James Delia and Mike Delia. Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 18, 2006 from the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with Rev. Father Tony Russo of the All Saints Catholic Church presiding with interment in the West Hesperia Cemetery.
