John Eli Donley, age 61, of White Cloud passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016, at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus. John was born on April 6, 1955, in Bakersfield, California to William Stanley and Carol Joyce (Redman) Donley and was raised in California. He enjoyed motorcycle riding in the desert with his father and siblings. He worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was able to travel much of the United States with his work. He married Crystal Ann Clayton on May 16, 2014, and enjoyed fishing, bow hunting, and being on the lake. He loved his dogs, especially Diamond. He appreciated his friends and neighbors in the community. John is survived by his wife Crystal; children, Jennifer (Sam) Jameson of California; grandchildren, William, Rebecca, Joseph, Jeffery Carter, and Shaina Graus; mother, Carol Redman; sister, Patty (Brad) Lynn; nieces and nephews, Laura, Tanya, Dylan, Daniel, Nicholas, Patrick and Samantha along with their families; many great nieces and nephews; step-children, Penny Vincent, Kenneth Kalvin & Krishna Clayton, and Kera (Mario) Cendejas. He was preceded in death by his father, William; brother, Steve; nephew, Stephen; and grandson, Cornelius (Tater). There will be a private service in California.
