John F. Fries, age 55, of Fremont passed away at his home. John was born on June 3, 1959 in Memphis, Tennessee to William and Audrey Virginia (Mandel) Fries and was a quality control specialist at Magna Donnelly Corporation. He enjoyed fishing, farming, travel, was an Eagle Scout, and proudly served his Country in the United States Navy. John is survived by his children Angelica (D.J.) Long of Corpus Christi, Texas, Andrew (Rebecca) Fries of Newaygo, and Anthony Fries of Gulf Shores, Alabama; father, William Fries of Fremont; grandchildren, Jocelyn and Jameson: brothers and sister, William (Linda) Fries Jr. of Fremont, Peter (Leslye) Fries of Howard City, and Elizabeth (Michael) Rogers of Fremont; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont from 5 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday at the First Congregational Church in Fremont with Pastor Ray Dekker officiating. Interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan.
