John H. Rynberg, age 71 of Fremont, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at the Newaygo County Compassion Home in White Cloud following a battle with Glioblastoma Cancer. John was born on January 19, 1948 in Fremont to John and Lila (Wilbur) Rynberg and graduated from Fremont High School in 1966. John joined the United States Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam War and then returned to Fremont. He married Deanna "Dee" J. Olson on July 7, 1973 in Fremont. John had worked as a thermal processing specialist at the Gerber Products Company in Fremont for 30 years and later retired as a consultant at Zwanenberg Foods in Cincinnati. John enjoyed bowling, golfing, traveling, his cars – Triumph and Camaro's, and spending time with his family and friends. John is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dee of Fremont; his children, Tyler Rynberg of Pleasant Hill, California; Tasha Rynberg of Fremont; his granddaughter, Hailey Thompson and great granddaughter, Genevieve "Evie" Kortman; his brothers, Jim Rynberg of Fremont; Tom (Bernie) Rynberg of Chicago; Roger (Kathy) Rynberg of Sturgis; several nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lila and by his brother, David Rynberg. VISITATION : Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 11am – 1pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel.
