John W. Helms III, infant son of John and Elizabeth (Slowik) Helms Jr., passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial Hospital in Fremont.

John III is survived by his parents, John and Elizabeth; his sisters and brothers, Gaberiel, Jacob, Isaiah, Yaneese, Nyjah; his maternal grandparents, Walter & Linda Slowik of Holton; paternal grandparents, John & Tara Helms of Muskegon; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial Mass Services will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Brunswick with Rev. Father Pete Schafer presiding with a luncheon to follow. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital c/o Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Foundation in memory of John.
