Hepinstall, John Wesley White Cloud John W. Hepinstall, age 96, of White Cloud passed away on Friday, December 13, 2002 , at Nelsons Adult Foster Care in White Cloud. He was born on October 5, 1906 , in Wilcox Township to John Wesley and Margaret (Anible) Hepinstall. He married Flossie Fay Fowler on August 27, 1926 , in White Cloud and she preceded him in death on March 17, 1968 . He married Mary Slade on April 20, 1970 , in White Cloud and she preceded him in death on November 14, 1985 . He later married Eleanor Hepinstall of Paw Paw. He started as a Bank Clerk on July 19, 1934 , at the White Cloud First State Bank, became Head Cashier in 1960, and later became President of the bank. He retired in 1971, but remained Chairman of the Board until 1982. He had a total of 48 years of service at the bank. He was past president of the White Cloud Rotary Club, past president of the White Cloud Chamber of Commerce, served on the White Cloud School board (1938-1949), was a former member of the Board of Trustees of Gerber Hospital, and was the Treasurer for the City of White Cloud for many years. He was a life-long resident of White Cloud and a member of the White Cloud United Methodist Church. John is survived by his wife Eleanor of Paw Paw; sons, David (Lois) Hepinstall of White Cloud and Gene (Shirley) Hepinstall of Edmore, Michigan ; son-in-law Milton Ames of Bridgeport , Michigan ; 12 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his previous wives; daughter Arlene Ames; and brothers Paul, Oliver, and Tom Hepinstall. Funeral services were held on December 20, 2002 at the Crandell Funeral Home Chapel in White Cloud with Rev. Jeff Bowman from the White Cloud United Methodist Church officiating. Interment is in White Cloud Cemetery. For a more lasting memorial, the family asks that friends consider the Fremont Area Community Foundation for the Endowment Fund of the Newaygo Medical Care Facility Alzheimers Unit.
