Obituary

John "Tom" Isenhart, age 79 of Fremont, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 at the Fountain View Retirement Village in Grant following a long illness. Tom was born on March 17, 1938 in Grant to John and Irene (Staats) Isenhart and later married Leona Longcore on September 12, 1959 in Fremont. Tom has served in the Michigan National Guard and later started work at Brunswick Corporation in Muskegon where he worked as a machine operator until his retirement in 2000. Tom enjoyed woodworking in his garage and was an avid hunter and proud member of the NRA. Tom enjoyed traveling and socializing with his friends and had enjoyed fishing in his younger years.

Tom is survived by his wife, Leona of Fremont; his daughters, Kelly (James) Klawikowski of Ravenna; LeAnne (Jim) Buckmaster of Howard City; his granddaughters, Andrea (Chris) Wilde of Bailey; Jamie (Dan) Yokubonus of Newaygo; Ashlea (Jason) Walker of Fremont; his great grandchildren, Monroe, Lindyn, and Reece; his brothers and sisters, Don (Juanita) Isenhart of Grant; Dona Gardenour of Fremont; Richard Isenhart of Grant; Jim (Karen) Isenhart of Fremont; Bonnie Mitchell of Gaylord; many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruth Bregee and Virginia May and his son-in-law, Jack Brian Pell.

VISITATION : Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 10-12pm at Crandell Funeral Home 7193 W 48th Street Fremont MI 49412. FUNERAL SERVICES : Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 12pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. INTERMENT : Bridgeton Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Fremont Public School Industrial Arts Program for the Woodworking Program.
