John George Kremmel, age 79, of Hesperia passed away on Tuesday April 19, 2016, at his home. John was born on October 31, 1936, in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, to John Joseph and Florence (English) Kremmel. He married Dorothy Chambers on January 14, 1956, and later married Janet Anderson on October 29, 1988, in Fruitport. John retired from CWC Textron after being an engineer for over 30 years. He enjoyed Scouting, hunting, golfing, fishing, euchre, pinochle, and was very active in Church organizations. John is survived by his wife, Janet: children, Lawrence Kremmel of England, Jeanette Jan (Jerry) Hubbard of Detroit, Keith Kremmel of Norton Shores, Katherine Kremmel of Muskegon, Mary (Larry) Swarts of Muskegon, Lynn (Brendon) Samuels of Gilbert, AZ., Johanna (Lee) Green of Muskegon; stepchildren, William (Denise) Anderson of Kalamazoo, Dana (Torger) Johnson of Muskegon, Steven (Jessica) Anderson of Fruitport, Russell (Angie) Anderson, of Muskegon, and Jane (Jake Orbin) Gibson of Hesperia; sister Kathleen Polinsky of Pennsylvania; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. John was preceded by his parents, John and Florence; and brother-in-law, Bill Polinsky. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 22, from 6 9 PM at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday morning at 10:30 AM at Christ The King Catholic Church in Hesperia with Father Roc Majalla. Interment will be will be at St Michaels Catholic Cemetery in Brunswick. A luncheon provided by the family will follow the interment back at Christ The King Fellowship Hall.
