Maynard, John Jack John Jack E. Maynard, age 87 of Hesperia, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2005 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont following a long illness. Jack was born on November 14, 1917 in Hesperia to John Franklin and Ida Alice (Dake) Maynard and later met and married Jean Armstrong on September 23, 1939 in Fremont. Jean preceded Jack in death on May 18, 1992. Jack has been a lifelong resident of the Hesperia area where he had been a production worker at MISCO Manufacturing until his retirement. Jack enjoyed farming with his draft horses, was a member of the Farm Bureau and was a member of the Hesperia United Methodist Church. Jack is survived by his children, Dawn (Robert) Haase of Hesperia; Ruby (Bill) Lavin of Hesperia; Larry Maynard of Hesperia; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Monday, February 28, 2005 from the Hesperia United Methodist Church with Rev. Brad Brillhart presiding with interment in the East Hesperia Cemetery.
