John S. Robinson Sr., age 90 of Brohman, Michigan, formerly of the Kalamazoo area, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. John was born on August 27, 1914 in Birmingham, Alabama and later married Pearl Pauline Pond on July 25, 1936 in Kalamazoo. Pearl preceded him in death in 1989. He had been a production worker at KVP Paper Company in Kalamazoo until his retirement in 1976. John and Pearl moved to the Brohman area in 1976 from the Kalamazoo/Vicksburg area and was a member of the Big Rapids Eagles. He is survived by his children, Bonnie (Clarence) Abel of Vicksburg; Patricia (Howard) Gunderson of White Cloud; John (Eleanor) Robinson Jr. of Otsego; 2 grandchildren, Scott Michael (Tammy) Abel; Christopher John Abel; 1 great grandchild, Kaylee Beth Abel; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Audrey Frain. He was preceded in death by sisters, Lilley Reep; Maude Gunter; Bessie Sessions; and brothers, Jack Robinson and David Robinson. Private services were held at a later date following cremation.
