John William Rogers Jr., age 61, of Holton, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013 at his home. John was born on December 6, 1951 in Muskegon to John and Dorothea Jackie (Bouwsma) Rogers Sr. John was raised by Paul and Jackie Wilson. John was a Foreman and had worked at Quality Underground Services for over 20 years. John enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting, and spending time with his family. He was a member of the National Fishing Lure Collectors Club and Michigan Darkhouse and Angling Association. John is survived by his children, Jeremy (Monica) Rogers of Holton, Jennifer (Matt) VanLente of Canton, Julianna Rogers of Muskegon, and Jacob (Alicia Barnes) Rogers of Twin Lake; fianc, Camryn Cruz and her children Elissa Steinman and Michael (Tasha) Steinman; grandchildren, Kirstin Rogers, Isabelle VanLente, Maxwell VanLente, Sawyer Hock, and Alexander Rogers; brothers and sister, Ryan (Teressa) Wilson of Muskegon, Alan (Wendy) Wilson of Holton, and Julie (Mike) Chew of Indiana; and previous wife, Faith Potter of Hesperia. John was preceded by his mother, Dorthea; step-father, Paul Wilson; son, William James Haynes; and father, John Rogers Sr. Services will be announced at a later time.
