Obituary

John M. Yanushko, age 78 of White Cloud, formerly of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. John was born on March 30, 1932 in Exeter, Pennsylvania to Michael and Elsie (Nametka) Yanushko and later moved to the Detroit area. John met and later married Anna Galinas on June 2, 1951 in Detroit. John started work at the Ford Motor Company as a tool and die maker and later became a buyer in the experimental engines division until his retirement in 1989 after 38 years. John moved to the White Cloud area in 1989 where he enjoyed retirement by tinkering in his workshop, fixing things at home and had enjoyed golfing in his younger years. John served in the United States Navy during the post Korean era and was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud. John is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anna; his sisters, Delores Zeniki of Exeter, Pennsylvania; Helen Yanushko of Pittson, Pennsylvania; his aunt, Mary Lenza of Pittston, Pennsylvania; cousin, Vicki Antonelli; sister-in-laws, Doris Yanushko of Kingston, Pennsylvania; Josephine Green of Dearborn, Heights, Michigan; Margaret Oloffo of Anthem, Arizona; brother-in-law, Frank Galinas of Mesa, Arizona; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph and Stephen Yanushko. VISITATION : Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 5-8pm at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. ROSARY SERVICES : Tuesday at 7:30pm at the funeral home. MASS OF RESURRECTION : Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 2pm at the St. Joseph Catholic Church. INTERMENT : St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund. Both Matt and I are very sorry to hear about Great Uncle Johnny. He will be missed a lot but loved forever.
