Jon A. Sugden, age 68 of White Cloud, formerly of Spring Lake and Saginaw, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Metron Nursing Center in Big Rapids following a long illness. Jon was born on March 8, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio to John Ainsley and Elizabeth (Adolf) Sugden. Jon has been a resident of the White Cloud area for the past 20 years. Jon had been a chef for several years, but will be most remembered as an artist and musician. Jon had played the guitar in several bands including The Rock and Roll Soldier Band in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Jon enjoyed feeding the animals, deer, turkeys, raccoons, porcupines at his home. Jon is survived by his fianc and closest friend, Marvanna Clark of Newaygo; Marvannas family including her daughter, Tera Knevels and children; his children, Jennifer Jenkins of Killeen, Texas; Jon A. Sugden III of Holt; his sister, Kathryn McDonald of East Lansing; 2 nieces, Elizabeth Demers of Chicago; Sarah (Aaron) Steele of Traverse City; 1 great niece and 1 great nephew. Jon was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann (Moore) Sugden and by his parents. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE service will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with a time of visitation from 1-2pm at the funeral home.
