Joseph R. Fuller, age 93 of Newaygo, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Metron Nursing Center in Big Rapids. Joseph was born on February 12, 1916 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to William Arthur and Ellen (Morgan) Fuller. Joseph met and married Grace E. Woodward on April 2, 1940 in Mt. Vernon, Indiana and has been a resident of the Newaygo area since 2001 when he moved from Florida. Joseph had been a chemical engineer with the Universal Oil Products Company, based in Des Plaines, Illinois but working for over 10 years overseas including, London, England; Como, Italy; Lugano, Switzerland until his retirement in 1982. Joseph had enjoyed playing golf and was a former member of the Masonic Order, F&AM had enjoyed boating. Joseph is survived by his wife, Grace of Newaygo; his daughters, Pamela K. Stoll of Reed City; Judith A. (John) Bull of Newaygo; Scotti Lea (Dennis) Reeves of Fort Myers, Florida; grandchildren, Scott (Rhonda) Stoll; Eric (Christine) Stoll; John (Jodi) Bull; Kevin (Sharon) Bull; Kristine McHugh; Jennifer (Jeff) Jorgensen; 9 great grandchildren; his sisters, Barbara Sohlin or West Bloomfield, Michigan; and Mildred Swailes of Dearborn, Michigan; several nieces and nephews. Joseph was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Carl Stoll. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 from 2-4pm at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel.
