Joseph D. Isbill, age 94 of White Cloud, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023 at his home following a long and slow decline in his health. Joe was born on February 14, 1929 in Loudon, Tennessee to Marion and Ruth Helen Isbill and later married Laura Sue Hortman on March 8, 1966. Joe had been a construction worker and later worked for the City of White Cloud Department of Public Works and at the White Cloud Cemetery until his retirement. Joe had enjoyed hunting, fishing, visiting with friends and people at flea markets and yard sales, listening to country music and attending county and bluegrass music sessions in the area and enjoyed spending time with his wife, Laura Sue.
Joe is survived by his wife, Laura Sue of Fremont; his grandson, James D. Brown of White Cloud; 2 sisters, Hattie Jo and Brenda Sue. Joe was preceded in death by his daughter, Patty Rene Bowers; and his brothers and sisters, Harold, JD, Aldeen, Jimmy, Faye, Maxine and Junior.
