Joseph R. Lord Sr., age 68 of White Cloud, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at his home following a short illness. Joseph was born on October 23, 1946 in Monroe, Michigan to Donald D. and Wilma G. (Graham) Lord and has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud Area. Joe had been a machinist at Continental Motors and later L3 Communications in Muskegon where he retired in 2010. Joseph married Carol Kukal on February 6, 1999 in White Cloud and enjoyed restoring old cars and farm machinery, wood working and carpentry and building homes. Joe was a veteran of the United States Army where he served during the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart. Joseph is survived by his wife, Carol of White Cloud; his children, Joseph R. (Ann) Lord Jr. of New Port Richey, Florida; Dennis A. (Susan) Lord of Fruitport; Barbara L. Wallace of Chesaning, Michigan; his step children, Pastor Keith JR (Sarah) Shick of White Cloud; Paula J. (Oscar) Carlson of Fremont; 7 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; his former wife, Susan Harig Lord of Chesaning. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Lynn Lord-Foust. FUNERAL SERVICES : Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 1:30pm at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel (1109 Court Street White Cloud MI 49349) with a time of VISITATION from 11:30-1:30 with Rev. Father Roc Majalla of the St. Michaels Catholic Church presiding and military rites under the auspices of the Newaygo V.F.W. Sportsmans Post #4249 and the Michigan National Guard Honor Guard.
