Gardner, Joshua Daniel Brothers, Joshua Daniel Gardner, age 3 and Adrian Michael Gardner, age 7 of Ensley Center, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2007 following injuries received in an automobile accident. Joshua was born on September 29, 2003 in Fremont and currently attended preschool in Grant and was active in the youth ministries at the Resurrection Life Church in Newaygo. Joshua is survived by his mother, Melody Gardner of Ensley Center; his father, Warren Gardner of Fremont; his sister, Marina Gardner of Ensley Center; maternal grandparents, Steve and Diana Barnum of Bailey; maternal great grandmother, Lois Barnum at Metron of Forest Hills, Grand Rapids; Janet Vincent of Stanwood; uncles, Carl Gardner of Muskegon Heights; George Gardner of Gaylord; David Gardner of Petoskey; Roger Gardner of Muskegon Heights; Jason Barnum of Fremont; Mark Barnum stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky with the United States Army; Kevin Barnum of Grand Rapids; several great aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members. Joshua was preceded in death by maternal great grandfather, Harry Barnum and paternal grandparents, George and Ina Gardner. Funeral services were held on Friday, March 2, 2007 at the Resurrection Life Church in Newaygo with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont. I remember when I worked at Dura how happy you were when you were carrying Adrian. I know he was the apple of your eye. I won't say the pain will ever go away, but day by day it gets a little less. Just take comfort in knowing that you'll see him again someday, as the boys are in heaven, a place of peace and tranquility. They will always be with you.
