Joyce Ann Burns, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on April 2, 1944, Joyce lived a life filled with warmth, creativity, and love. A dedicated homemaker, she poured her heart and soul into creating a nurturing environment for her family. Known for her warmth and kindness, Joyce had a passion for knitting and crocheting. Her love for coloring, solving puzzles, playing bingo, and tending to her vibrant flowers showcased her vibrant spirit and zest for life. Joyce also had a cherished collection of angels, which she displayed proudly in her home.

Joyce is survived by her devoted husband, Dale Joseph Burns, who stood by her side through many seasons of life. Her legacy continues through her children, Catherine Hoag and Floyd Price, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the love and lessons she imparted. She is also survived by her dear siblings, Jerry Battjes and Judy DeBoer. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Battjes and Johanna VanBeek, and her beloved children, Cheri and Christine Rogers. The memories they shared remain etched in her heart and will continue to be cherished by those who knew them.

While there will be no services at this time, Joyce's family takes comfort in knowing that her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Arrangements have been handled by Crandell Funeral Home - Fremont Chapel.
