Joyce Louise Deurloo, age 91 of Spring Lake and formerly of Fremont and Hesperia, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at the American House in Spring Lake following her declining health. Joyce was born on November 4, 1927 in Hart to Ormal and Gladys Viola (Miller) Campbell and moved to the Fremont area at an early age. Joyce attended Doud Country School and later graduated from Hesperia High School. Joyce was a beautician and owned and operated Joyce's Beauty Salon for over 70 years until her retirement. She married Russell Deurloo in 1989 in Fremont and Russell preceded her in death on August 16, 2018. Joyce was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church and enjoyed working on word search puzzles, had been involved with the Impaired Vision Support Group in Hesperia, had been a member of the Bunko Club in the area and enjoying going out to eat with friends and family. Joyce truly enjoyed being a beautician however. Joyce is survived by her children, Mike (Elizabeth) Gasaway of Muskegon; Bradley (Angela) Gasaway of Irons; Donald (Debra Schoenmaker) Gasaway of Muskegon; step son, Kenneth John Deurloo of Sweden; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; her sister, Sandra Kosheba of Ravenna. Joyce was preceded in death by her sister, Jean and her brothers, Robert, Rodney and Jim.
