Joyce M. Hamilton, age 82 of Fremont, formerly of Muskegon and Arizona, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the Mission Point Nursing Center in Cedar Springs. Joyce was born on December 19, 1937 in Muskegon to Ralph and Wilhelmina (VanZanten) Hinman and later married John Hamilton in March 1960 in San Fernando California. Joyce later moved to Arizona where she spent many years until her return back to Michigan and Fremont in 2005. Joyce had been a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, reading, was a wonderful cook, enjoyed listening to music and dancing. Joyce enjoyed visiting with her cousins who were like siblings to her. She had a kind heart and touched many lives of the many people and places she lived. Joyce is survived by her children, Stacy L. (Mike) Lewis of Tucson, Arizona; Terri Rojas of Phoenix, Arizona; John S. (Maureen) Hamilton of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Tracy (significant other – Jackie Parish) Hamilton of Fremont; 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren: and several first cousins. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, John and by her parents, Ralph Hinman and Wilhelmina (VanZanten) Hinman. A private memorial gathering was held in Fremont following Joyce's wishes for cremation and final interment in Texas.
