Judith A. Judy Heintzelman, age 66 of Newaygo County, formerly of Plymouth, North Carolina and Dorr, went to be with her Lord on Friday, June 13, 2008 at her sons home in Paris, Michigan following a short battle with cancer. Judy was born on December 22, 1941 in Grand Rapids to Ralph and Marian L. (Tawney) Jones and met and later married Paul E. Heintzelman Sr. on December 15, 1967 in Grand Rapids. Judy had been a production worker at Herman Miller, Westinghouse and Metal Craft and later became a cashier at Plumbs Grocery in Newaygo. Judy was a former member of the Newaygo County Sheriffs Posse and had hosted Pickeral Lake Campground in Baldwin for several years. She also enjoyed camping and cooking for family gatherings. A special thank you to Steve DeHaan, Dr. Robert Gunnell, and the nurses from Hospice of Michigan for the care and compassion given to Judy. She is survived by her best friend and husband of 43 years, Paul; her son, Eugene Geno Heintzelman of Paris, Michigan; her daughters, Paula (Steve) Foster of Plymouth, North Carolina; Jackie (Joe) Kukal Jr. of White Cloud; Sharon (Douglas) Cannon of Jacksonville, North Carolina; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; her mother, Marian Jones of White Cloud; 2 brothers, Kenneth (Dee) Jones of Newaygo; Norman (Mary) Jones of Comstock Park; special uncle, Clifford Jones of Bailey; special nieces, Marie Sis (Jack) Heintzelman and Phyllis (Don) Bulson; special brother and sister-in-law, John & Teri Heintzelman of Wyoming; host of nieces, nephews, and special friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Gerald and Robert Jones; father, Ralph Jones; and son, Paul Heintzelman Jr.. Funeral services were held on Monday at the funeral home with interment in the Floral View Cemetery in Grandville.
