Judy Lynn Cass, age 49 of Grant, formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away Monday, January 20, 2010 at the Spectrum Health Blodgett Campus in Grand Rapids. Judy was born on January 15, 1961 in Grand Rapids to James J. and Betty J. (Johnson) Briggs and has been a resident of the Grant area for the past 18 years. Judy had been a production worker and homemaker and loved spending time in her yard and reading. Judy is survived by her daughters, Melissa Ann Cass of Grand Rapids; Amanda Sue Cass of Grand Rapids; her grand daughter, Alexis Kanis of Grand Rapids; significant other, Mike Beak and his daughter, Selienna Beak; her brother, James E. Briggs of Key West, Florida. She was preceded in death by her father, James Briggs in November 2010. Memorial services will be held at a later date following cremation.
