Judy L. Gardenour, age 61 of Muskegon, formerly of Fremont, passed away Monday, October 17, 2011 at the Harbor Hospice, Leila & Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence in Muskegon. Judy was born on August 22, 1950 in Muskegon to Dan and Dona (Isenhart) Gardenour and graduated from Fremont High School in 1969. Judy had worked at Gerber Products Company for several years and later moved to the Muskegon area. Judy enjoyed shopping, crocheting and crafts, was a seamstress and enjoyed making Halloween costumes, enjoyed cooking and was known for her fudge. Judy especially enjoyed being a mom to her son, Jonathon. Judy is survived by her mother, Dona Gardenour of Fremont; her sisters and brother, Sandra Gardenour of Fremont; Dale (Dan) Balavitch of Muskegon; Gale (Dennis) Pell of Fremont; Patty Gardenour of Kiel, Wisconsin; Don (Cheryl) Gardenour of White Cloud; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Judy was preceded in death by her son, Jonathon Richard Gardenour on March 31, 2009; her father, Daniel Gardenour on February 2, 2010 and by her sister, Shirley Canniff on January 4, 2004. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 1:oo p.m. at the Fremont Wesleyan Church 918 Garden Ave. Fremont MI, 49412. Friends are encouraged to give a memorial contribution to Harbor Hospice for the Leila & Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence in Muskegon 1050 W Western Ave # 400 Muskegon, MI 49441 in memory of Judy.
